Hey New Yorkers! Living in our incredible city means embracing an active and often demanding lifestyle. Whether you're a dedicated runner pounding the Central Park loops, a triathlete training for your next big race, or simply someone who enjoys staying fit amidst the urban hustle, the physical demands can sometimes lead to nagging pains, injuries, and setbacks. When your body needs to perform at its peak, or when an injury threatens to derail your progress, finding a chiropractor who truly understands the intricacies of athletic performance and recovery is crucial. That's where TAI Chiropractic, with the exceptional Dr. Hiro Nakano, comes into play. Located in the heart of Midtown, TAI Chiropractic is more than just a place for adjustments; it's a dedicated center for advanced recovery, pain resolution, and performance enhancement, designed to keep active New Yorkers moving, competing, and achieving their personal bests.
Chiropractic care is a specialized healthcare discipline focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disorders of the musculoskeletal system, particularly the spine. It operates on the principle that proper alignment and function of the body's structure are essential for overall health and optimal nervous system function. When spinal vertebrae or other joints become misaligned or restricted, they can interfere with nerve signals, leading to pain, reduced mobility, and impaired performance. Chiropractors, like Dr. Hiro Nakano at TAI Chiropractic, utilize precise, hands-on adjustments and other non-invasive techniques to correct these misalignments and restore proper joint movement. This can lead to significant pain relief, improved flexibility, enhanced strength, and quicker recovery from injuries. For athletes and highly active New Yorkers, chiropractic care is not just about fixing problems; it's about optimizing the body's mechanics, preventing future injuries, and ensuring that every movement is as efficient and powerful as possible. TAI Chiropractic stands out for its deep expertise in sports-related injuries and its proven ability to help individuals not just return to their activities, but truly excel beyond their previous limits.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Hiro is the best there is. Highly, highly recommend. He’s fixed every nagging pain and injury I’ve had for the past 10+ years now. I’ve competed at a high level in running (marathon 2h32m; half marathon 1h12m) and triathlon (sub-9; Kona multiple times) and have remained healthy and able to compete in large part due to Hiro. He’s the best! I live in LA now and still see him when I get back to NYC.
Apr 22, 2025 · Rob MohrDr. Nakano helped my son to go back swimming after he injured his shoulders and thigh. His approach to find what was the root cause of the injury helped his to understand not just to fix his problem but for him to advance as a swimmer. He was able to achieve personal best time.
Apr 08, 2025 · Kaori BI have been working with Dr. Nakano for years. We are so lucky to have a sports medicine professional of his caliber in NYC. I can not recommend his practice highly enough!
Jul 08, 2025 · Cyrus MoshiriHave been holding off to write a review in order to observe the long term results of my visits to Dr. Hiro. After seeing him for several times, he helped diagnose my knee problems through a combination of xray, posture, balance and other factors. His approach is simple but effective, heal yourself! He gave me homework each visit and refined the exercises as we progressed. The results are incredible, from running to cycling and everyday walking, going up stairs, no more pain! But keep in mind you must do your homework or the results will lost. Highly recommend!
Dec 20, 2024 · NickLove Dr. nakano! My neck was killing me for almost a year, i had three sessions with him, and what i found very helpful was the homework he gave me, exercises that brought stability in my neck. I am much better now, and will definitely go back for some tuneups!
