Tina P Grau Introduce
For residents across Texas, particularly those in the bustling city of San Antonio, finding a chiropractor that aligns with your personal preferences and health goals is paramount. The right chiropractic care can make a significant difference in managing pain, improving posture, and enhancing overall well-being. In San Antonio, Dr. Tina P Grau offers chiropractic services with a distinct approach, one that has garnered varied experiences from local patients. This article aims to provide an overview of her practice, giving Texans insights into what they might expect from her unique method of care.
Dr. Tina P Grau is known for her specialization in **Advanced BioStructural Correction (ABC)**, a technique that sets her practice apart in the San Antonio area. ABC focuses on correcting the body's posture and structure in a specific sequence, aiming to allow the body to naturally unwind and heal. This method is often presented as a long-term approach to addressing the root causes of musculoskeletal issues, rather than just providing temporary relief. For Texans who have explored various chiropractic methods and are seeking a different path to recovery, Dr. Grau's specialization in ABC might be of particular interest.
Patient experiences with Dr. Grau often highlight her direct communication style. One long-term patient, who has been with Dr. Grau for two years, describes her as "EXCELLENT, TRUSTWORTHY, BUT DIRECT." This patient recounts experiencing sporadic back pain, including a severe instance where reaching for something caused weeks of pain. After being recommended to Dr. Grau, and initially being "sassy" due to discomfort, the patient noted that Dr. Grau "did a few muscle tests, isolated the cause, did a painful adjustment, better almost the next day." This individual credits Dr. Grau for significantly reducing their back pain, improving their posture, and even clearing up years of plantar fasciitis after she noticed their sitting habits and made recommendations, including advising against sole inserts.
The same patient further praises Dr. Grau's expertise in ABC, noting she is "one of the few (only one in SA) who practices Advanced Biostructural Correction (ABC, developed by Dr. Jesse Jutkowitz)." This patient, initially hesitant about chiropractors, found Dr. Grau to be "extremely practical" and appreciates her candidness, even sharing that Dr. Grau herself had back issues that were resolved by the ABC technique. This directness, while appreciated by some, is a key characteristic of her practice. The patient confidently recommends Dr. Grau to "family members, friends, and acquaintances," asserting, "If you're looking for an excellent chiropractor, she's top notch. She knows her stuff but is direct."
However, it is important for Texans to be aware that this direct approach, while valued by some, may not resonate with everyone. Another patient's recent experience provides a contrasting perspective, highlighting significant concerns regarding communication and the perceived nature of the treatment. This patient, visiting on July 31, 2024, described their experience as "cruel and unprofessional," feeling like "a 'canned' treatment or 'just another number.'" They reported entering the practice with arm pain of 5 on a scale of 1-10, and exiting with both arms at a pain level of 10 or more, along with severe neck pain that left them unable to sleep. This patient, who reported little to no neck pain prior to the adjustment, described losing full range of motion and needing to seek additional medical help and physical therapy due to restricted arm movements. They stated, "Your visit was the worst experience of my life. Your mannerisms and tactfulness were unprofessional, which caused me to lose confidence and trust in your practice."
This patient also expressed feeling that Dr. Grau was "condescending," advising against making assumptions about a patient's professional background or ability to understand medical jargon. They also found comments about having a "crooked face" and the necessity of perpetual adjustments for her husband to be tactless and confidence-eroding. This patient explicitly stated, "Therefore, I would never refer anyone to your practice; on the contrary, I would tell of the horrible experience I was put through." This feedback indicates that while Dr. Grau's direct style works for some, others may find it challenging and, in some cases, counterproductive to their healing process.
When considering Dr. Tina P Grau, it is crucial for Texans to weigh these different experiences. Her specialized ABC technique aims for profound, long-term structural changes. For patients who appreciate a direct and candid approach, and who are prepared for a potentially intense healing process, her practice might be a good fit. However, for those who prefer a more gentle and overtly empathetic communication style, or who have concerns about immediate post-adjustment pain, it is important to consider if her direct method aligns with their personal comfort levels and expectations for chiropractic care. It is always advisable for individuals to conduct their own due diligence, perhaps even scheduling a consultation, to determine if the practice's philosophy and communication style align with their needs before committing to a treatment plan.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1EXCELLENT, TRUSTWORTHY, BUT DIRECT.Been a patient of Dr. Grau's for 2 years. She is extremely knowledgeable, but she is direct. If you do not like a doctor that is direct, she's not for you. My wife actually appreciates this quality in doctors. I was having sporadic back pain. There was one instance when I was sitting on the ground and just reached for something and heard something pop and was pain for weeks. An acquaintance recommended Dr. Grau, and I honestly, was sassy to her on our first meeting until she realized I was in pain. She then did a few muscle tests, isolated the cause, did a painful adjustment, I was better almost the next day. Since going to Dr. Grau I very rarely have back pain. I no longer slouch, and my posture is much better. I used to have plantar fasciitis for years, Dr. Grau noticed the way I was sitting and made recommendations, and it cleared up. She's very against sole inserts, so I got rid of them the next day. She's one of the few (only one in SA) who practices Advanced Biostructural Correction (ABC, developed by Dr. Jesse Jutkowitz). I was hesitant to go to a chiropractor. I'll be honest, half of them probably do not do anything. Dr. Grau even admits this. If you talk with her, she'll tell you about some of her back issues and how she actually left practicing chiropractic but saw the ABC technique performed, and it helped cleared up some of her back issues. Dr. Grau is an extremely practical person. Have recommended Dr. Grau to a number of my family members, friends, and acquaintances. If you're looking for an excellent chiropractor, she's top notch. She knows her stuff but is direct.
Aug 25, 2024 · FrankYou saw me on July 31, 2024. I was reading your message from the welcome package. It states your practice is referral-driven, and you mention that you value my opinion and want to hear what I think, no matter what it is.I understand you create personalized treatment plans to ensure your patients get out of pain and stay that way for the longest time possible.I found your approach to treatment cruel and unprofessional, and it honestly felt like a "canned" treatment or "just another number." I explained to you that I was having pain in my arms, and you then proceeded to make adjustments without verifying additional possible injuries. You had me screaming in pain. As a result, I was resisting you due to the discomfort, and you demanded to let loose, or you could not continue the process. After the session, you scheduled me for an MRI and then stated I needed to let you know if I experienced pain. On a scale from 1-10, I went to your practice with arm pain of 5 and came out with both arms in pain ranging from 10 or more. Before the adjustment I had little or no neck pain as a result of your proceduce I ended up with severe pain that left me unable to sleep for nights to this very day. I am in constant pain. I lost full range of motion and have not recovered since. I had to seek more medical help and also see a physical therapist due to my restricted arm movements.Your visit was the worst experience of my life. Your mannerisms and tactfulness were unprofessional, which caused me to lose confidence and trust in your practice. In your letter titled "Important News About Your Chiropractic Care!", you state that "not enough doctors these days acknowledge and appreciate their patients. You may even have been to a doctor who was either rude, made you waste half a day, or didn't listen to what you had to say."This is exactly how I felt in your office. On top of that, you were condescending. Please don't assume, based on the patient's job status, that they haven't held a professional job, that they don't have a professional education, or that they can't understand your medical jargon. On another note, you should be more tactful when expressing to your patients that they have a crooked face. Although I am secure in my body and face, not everyone would accept it. Also, your mention of your husband requiring adjustments until he dies did not inspire me to have any confidence in you. Therefore, I would never refer anyone to your practice; on the contrary, I would tell of the horrible experience I was put through.
Aug 22, 2024 · Anna SaucedoThis is the best chiropractor I’ve ever been to. I moved to this area about 1.5 years ago and had been going to chiropractors over 10 years. This is the first chiropractor to examine & practice based on results from each appointment. She enlightened me on all the information I had questions on. I would highly recommend anyone needing a chiropractor to check her practice out. Especially, you are looking for continued growth in your body and not just a quick adjustment to get rid of the pain. She provides pictures of your body posture to show the progress as well. Thank you for all help!
Dec 01, 2021 · devin perryI recommend Dr. Grau for anyone and I believe in her practice. I have gone away from my pain and feel amazed about the proper adjustments I received. I recommend Dr.Grau for anyone needing a Chiropractor.
