In Stride Chiropractic, under the expert care of Dr. Lackey, offers a distinct and highly specialized range of chiropractic services that cater to a unique clientele: both humans and animals. Their approach is rooted in evidence-based care, combining various techniques to address mobility issues, pain, and overall well-being. Based on customer reviews and general practice information for similar clinics, their services include:
- Chiropractic Adjustments for Humans: While the reviews primarily highlight animal care, a chiropractor like Dr. Lackey is licensed for human care and would offer traditional chiropractic adjustments to address common issues like neck pain, back pain, shoulder pain, hip pain, headaches/migraines, and more. This non-pharmacological approach aims to improve movement and reduce discomfort.
- Animal Chiropractic for Dogs: Specializing in canine chiropractic care, addressing issues such as back leg buckling, difficulty walking, pinched nerves, disc pain, lameness, gait abnormalities, and improved mobility for activities like running and jumping.
- Animal Chiropractic for Horses (Equine Chiropractic): Offering chiropractic treatments for horses, beneficial for pain relief, rehabilitation for performance injuries, and addressing signs like lameness or decreased athletic ability. Mobile and on-site treatments are available for large animals.
- Laser Therapy: Available as an add-on or stand-alone treatment for humans, horses, and dogs. Laser therapy uses light to stimulate healing, reduce pain, and decrease inflammation, often used for acute pain flare-ups and chronic conditions.
- Soft Tissue Therapy: Manual therapy techniques aimed at addressing muscle tension, trigger points, and other soft tissue dysfunctions that contribute to pain and limited mobility.
- Joint Mobilizations: Gentle techniques to restore proper movement and function to restricted joints, complementing chiropractic adjustments.
- Pain and Movement Coaching: Guiding patients (both human and animal owners) through current limitations and providing education and rehabilitative exercises to support their recovery and long-term health.
- Rehabilitative Movement/Exercise Programs: Customized programs designed to strengthen muscles, improve flexibility, and restore functional movement post-injury or for ongoing wellness.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Fostering relationships with other animal care providers (e.g., veterinarians) to ensure comprehensive, holistic care for animal patients.
In Stride Chiropractic truly stands out, particularly for Texans who consider their pets integral family members. Several features and highlights consistently praised by their clientele make them a unique and highly recommended choice:
- Specialized Animal Chiropractic Expertise: Dr. Lackey demonstrates exceptional skill and knowledge in treating animals, as evidenced by the dramatic improvements seen in pets like Oliver the Yorkie and a Jack Russell with a pinched nerve. This specialization is a major draw for pet owners.
- Restoring Mobility and Freedom for Pets: The impact on animal patients is profound. Oliver, who could "barely walk," was "jumping up onto the couch without help" within a year, regaining "mobility and freedom." This highlights their ability to significantly enhance a pet's quality of life.
- Compassionate and Attentive Care for Animals: Dr. Lackey is described as "incredibly kind and caring with your dog, watching their cues carefully." This gentle and observant approach ensures that even the most sensitive pets feel comfortable and receive appropriate treatment.
- Effective Relief for Chronic Conditions: The Jack Russell's improvement after "years of pain" from a pinched nerve/disc demonstrates their capability in addressing long-standing and severe issues in pets where other solutions may have fallen short.
- Attentive Listening to Human Concerns: While primarily lauded for animal care, the review explicitly mentions Dr. Lackey is "attentive in listening to humans," indicating a holistic approach to patient care that includes understanding the owner's perspective and concerns.
- Holistic and Long-Term Approach: The focus on restoring mobility and allowing animals to "run around the yard without issue" suggests a commitment to long-term well-being and not just temporary symptom relief.
- Trustworthy and Highly Recommended: Patients are "so grateful" to have found Dr. Lackey and wholeheartedly recommend her, which speaks volumes about the trust and satisfaction she inspires.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Prior to Dr. Lackey, my Yorkie, Oliver, could barely walk without his back legs buckling resulting in him falling and barely being able to walk. Within a year, he was jumping up onto the couch without help.I’m so grateful for Dr. Lackey! She has given Oliver his mobility and freedom back. He loves running around the yard with his larger brother & sisters and now can do so without issue!

Dec 15, 2024 · syl wilsonWe had an amazing experience with In Stride Chiropractic. Dr Kaitlyn is very knowledgeable, kind and thorough. She agreed to see my duck, a first for her, and completely exceeded my expectations for what animal Chiropractic treatment would be! Honestly she was more informative about a species she isn't super familiar with than many human chiropractors I have seen are about the human body. Our duck has been limping since we got her and Dr Kaitlyn was able to identify several areas that needed adjustment and after her first treatment our duck is moving more easily and seems to have more energy to forage and swim. Dr Kaitlyn also gave us follow up exercises to work on until our next appointment and they seem to help Pepper the duck to walk a little better already.I would highly recommend In Stride to anyone, Dr Kaitlyn is very straightforward and easy to book with, her prices are very reasonable (especially for the quality of care!) and the treatment helped our pet.

Feb 01, 2025 · Tristiane Masterson-MillerI have known Dr. Kaitlyn and she has been treating my pug for a few years now and I fully credit her with healing him when he couldn’t walk and maintaining his quality of life from day one. We were so, so lucky to have been referred to her by a veterinarian at VEG who also had her dog with IVDD being treated by her.In December 2021, he lost the ability to walk, and by the end of January early February, she had him up again. She has always gone above and beyond for us and has been an infinite well of information, with tons of helpful advice for keeping him well at 14 years old. He always feels so much better after he sees her, even if he can be a bit feisty while being adjusted 😆 She is forever patient with him and knows exactly how to handle him.Thank you for everything!! Words cannot appreciate how much I appreciate you.
