Living in New York City is an experience like no other – a constant whirlwind of activity, innovation, and demanding urban life. While the energy is exhilarating, it can also place considerable stress on our bodies. From long commutes on crowded subways to endless hours spent at a desk, or the physical demands of an active city lifestyle, many New Yorkers frequently find themselves grappling with muscle tension, stiffness, and various forms of musculoskeletal pain. These discomforts, if left unaddressed, can significantly impact your ability to enjoy the city's vibrant offerings and maintain your overall quality of life. For residents across the boroughs, particularly in Queens, understanding your options for chiropractic care is crucial for maintaining physical well-being and finding relief. Auburndale Chiropractic, located in Auburndale, NY, is one such clinic that serves the local community, and it's important for New Yorkers to be informed consumers when seeking care.
Auburndale Chiropractic, situated in a residential and commercial area of Queens, aims to provide chiropractic services to its patients. For New Yorkers experiencing pain or discomfort, seeking professional help is a vital step toward recovery. Chiropractic care generally focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of musculoskeletal system disorders, especially those affecting the spine. This often involves spinal adjustments to help restore proper alignment, reduce nerve interference, and alleviate pain. Patients often seek chiropractic care for conditions such as lower back pain, neck stiffness, headaches, and joint discomfort. The goal of chiropractic treatment is typically to enhance the body's natural healing capabilities through non-invasive, drug-free methods.
When considering any healthcare provider in New York, it's essential for patients to prioritize clear communication, ethical practice, and a positive patient experience. While the provided reviews for Auburndale Chiropractic highlight some concerning experiences related to communication, appointment punctuality, and perceived lack of treatment necessity from a patient's perspective, it underscores the importance for New Yorkers to conduct thorough research and ask pertinent questions before committing to a course of treatment. Finding a chiropractor who aligns with your expectations for care, transparency, and patient advocacy is paramount in the bustling healthcare landscape of New York City. Patients should feel heard, respected, and confident in their treatment plan, ensuring that their health needs are genuinely being addressed.
Choosing a chiropractor in New York involves more than just proximity; it involves finding a trusted partner in your health journey. While Auburndale Chiropractic aims to serve the local community, potential patients are encouraged to have open discussions about their conditions, treatment goals, and any concerns regarding insurance or scheduling. A positive patient-doctor relationship, characterized by clear communication and mutual understanding, is fundamental to effective healthcare. The ability to discuss your pain, understand your diagnosis, and feel confident in the proposed treatment plan are key aspects of a successful chiropractic experience.
Auburndale Chiropractic is located at 42-23 Francis Lewis Blvd #201, Auburndale, NY 11361, USA. This address places the clinic in the Auburndale neighborhood of Queens, a largely residential area with local businesses. Francis Lewis Boulevard is a significant roadway in Queens, making the clinic somewhat accessible by car. For New Yorkers relying on public transportation, various MTA bus lines operate along Francis Lewis Boulevard and surrounding streets. Prospective patients should consult the MTA bus schedules and routes to determine the most convenient way to reach the clinic from their specific location. It's always advisable to plan your commute in advance, especially during peak hours, as traffic and public transport delays are common in New York City.
The clinic's location within a building on a major boulevard suggests it is situated in a commercial-residential mix, aiming to serve the local community efficiently. As with any New York City clinic, considering parking availability if driving, and the walking distance from bus stops, will be beneficial for patient convenience. Accessibility is a key factor for New Yorkers who are constantly on the go and need healthcare options that seamlessly fit into their busy daily routines. Patients should confirm building access and specific suite location for ease of arrival at their appointments.
Based on general chiropractic practice standards and information typically associated with such clinics, Auburndale Chiropractic would likely offer a range of services aimed at addressing musculoskeletal pain and promoting spinal health. These services generally include:
- Chiropractic Adjustments: Manual or instrument-assisted adjustments to spinal and other joints to restore proper alignment, reduce nerve interference, and improve function.
- Spinal Health Consultation: Initial assessments to diagnose conditions, discuss patient history, and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Pain Management: Strategies to alleviate various types of pain, including back pain (lower, mid, upper), neck pain, and headaches.
- Posture Correction: Guidance and techniques to improve posture, which can alleviate strain on the spine and prevent future issues.
- Rehabilitative Exercises: Recommendations for at-home exercises and stretches to support recovery, strengthen muscles, and improve flexibility.
- Soft Tissue Therapies: Techniques addressing muscle tension, spasms, and injuries to ligaments and tendons that often accompany spinal misalignments.
- Wellness and Preventative Care: Advice on maintaining spinal health, preventing recurrence of issues, and promoting overall well-being through lifestyle modifications.
Based on the provided customer reviews, which highlight significant concerns, it is challenging to list typical positive features or highlights in a promotional manner. The reviews indicate issues that potential patients in New York would certainly consider as "red flags" when choosing a healthcare provider:
- Concerns regarding insurance communication: One review explicitly states that the doctor "had the audacity to tell my insurance that I did not need treatment," leading to out-of-pocket costs despite ongoing pain. This suggests a potential disconnect in communicating treatment necessity to insurance providers or patients, which is a critical concern for New Yorkers navigating complex healthcare billing.
- Perceived lack of care/behavior during consultation: A reviewer noted "very lack of communication as well as bad behavior during consultation," which is a serious concern regarding professional conduct and patient interaction.
- Strict adherence to schedule, potentially impacting patient care: A patient reported being turned away for being "10 minutes late" for a workers' comp case, with the office citing a short exam time. This raises questions about flexibility and a patient-centered approach, especially for New Yorkers who may face unexpected delays due to city logistics.
- Patient reports of feeling that their need for continued care was dismissed: One reviewer stated they were "currently in constant pain and I really need more treatment" after being told they did not need it. This implies a potential disagreement or lack of alignment between patient needs and the perceived assessment of the clinic.
Given these specific and serious negative reviews, it is not possible to ethically list positive highlights without inventing information, which goes against the prompt's instructions. New Yorkers looking for a chiropractor would typically value features such as transparent billing, compassionate communication, flexibility, and a patient-first approach to treatment, none of which are reflected positively in the provided feedback.

Issues such as perceived lack of communication, negative behavior during consultations, strict adherence to appointment times (even for short delays), and alleged misrepresentation to insurance companies regarding treatment necessity are significant points of feedback. Mar 05, 2025 · alexander taverasI came to this location as per workers comp case and was told because I was 10 minutes late that the doctor can’t see me the exam only takes 10 minutes tops maybe 5 minutes smh what happened to medical doctors who have a ethical right to serve the patient I recommend finding another facility due to other patient reviews and reporting patients not needing the care they need false facts
Mar 24, 2025 · Ms Review ServicesEvil. Went to him for an evaluation that was for my insurance after a car accident. He had the audacity to tell my insurance company that I don't need chiropractic service, pt, or anything else. He literally did a 2 minute exam. And he did not give me any paperwork to fill out. It's obviously he gets paid by the insurance company to deny people of the care they need because they don't want to pay. I have very bad lower back pain and elbow/ shoulder pain. I go to pt a few times a week. How does he get to say if I don't need pt? He needs to stay in his own lane. Physical therapy and chiropractic are two separate service. You're a quack. Stick to cracking people's necks.
Apr 18, 2024 · leah leeCame to bring someone to their appt and received the worst treatment. The doctor came out from his office after being active on his cell and asked me to sit downstairs because I was with a young child ( which is understandable, since we weee not the patient). Patient had been schedule for a 4 pm appt came in at 3:45 PM- 2 hours later I’m still sitting waiting for the doctor to call in the patient. Appointments are not timed out accordingly, if there is documentation that the doctor should review and that has been received by the facility for over a month (as in this case) the doctor should review the paperwork beforehand or stop playing with his phone and frat patients as per their appointment. There is nothing more obnoxious than to have someone disvalue your time.
Mar 08, 2023 · Michelle M.Dr. Louis Romeo is fantastic. He actually listens. Do you know how rare those qualities in a doctor are? He is very good at his job and he gives his honest opinion and recommendations. I was shocked! For all the time I have been dealing with orthopedic doctors, none ever took the time to value me and my pain. Even the initial doctor when I complained about my pain, she brushed me off and I ended up needing surgery then she wanted to apologize. As a person of color finding a white doctor who cares is surreal. Keep up the great work Dr. Romeo!!!
