Jul 16, 2025 · Julie DaunIf you’re looking for a chiropractor in Frisco who truly cares, American Sport and Spine is the place to go—especially with Dr. Cody. I first became aware of Dr. Cody through his partner at the practice, Matthew, who is not only a good friend but also someone I trust completely. I actually met Dr. Cody socially at first, and right away, I could tell he was one of those rare people who listens and puts you at ease.Frisco is my home, and I’ve seen plenty of medical offices over the years, but this place is different. From the moment you walk in, Grace at the front desk greets you with warmth and kindness. She’s always helpful and makes the whole experience feel welcoming, not clinical.A few years back, I had a pretty bad fall—right on my tailbone—which ended up compressing my lower spine. At the time, I tried going to a chiropractor, but left feeling discouraged and convinced I’d just have to live with the pain. Honestly, I never thought I’d find real relief. When I finally decided to see Dr. Cody, I was impressed from the start. He took the time to listen to my story and understand exactly what I was dealing with. During my visit, he didn’t just do a quick adjustment and send me on my way. He carefully adjusted my whole body and spent extra time stretching and working everything back into place. I could feel the difference almost immediately, and for the first time in years, I felt hopeful about my recovery. It’s been a little over a week since my first visit, and I feel great, better than I’ve felt in years. I’m looking forward to my next visit.Dr. Cody’s calm, attentive approach makes you feel like you’re in good hands, and the whole team at American Sport and Spine treats you like a person—not just another patient. If you’re in Frisco and need a chiropractor, I highly recommend Dr. Cody. Thanks to a trusted friend’s recommendation, I found the best care I could ask for, right here at home.
May 28, 2025 · Corley D. RandolphAs with many people, I had a great chiropractor, and I "thought no need” for a new one. I will be the first one to tell you, I was WAY wrong, I was not at the BEST… UNTIL we walked into Dr. Cody Newman’s office! My mother took her first fall in June of 2024 and was bedridden for 7+ months. Her left leg just stopped working with “tons” of pain. After her fall our first doctor was our “old” chiropractor whom I, 100% believe in. We thought she had sciatic nerve… again. It turned out that was not the issue, hence why treatment on the sciatic did not help. After her first hospital stay in June, we were directed to “so many doctors & surgeons”, to fix this and that. Pretty much they wanted to fix things from the top of her head to toes and everything in between. The list was “so” long that I had to ask the hospital to share with me in life threatening order which was first to handle. (3) 911 calls, (4) ER visits, (3) hospital stays, (1) rehab stay, total of (28) doctors later… the absolute only thing that helped her move her leg and relief of some pain was Out-Patient Physical Therapy after all that. It’s been 9 months of living hell for mom & our family! After ALL this she could still “only lift her left leg about one inch” off the ground & now walks with a walker. Trust me we were thrilled to have her even be able to lift it an inch, all these months it was like that left leg was dead. Not any movement! She was an active 82-year-old who trained dogs for a living prior to this. So, this result was not exciting, yet we were very grateful it was finally getting somewhat better. One of mom’s best friends recommended Dr. Cody. After mom talking to Dr. Cody, she was very excited about her up-coming appointment. For me it felt like just another doctor’s visit, like here we go again but I was willing to see pretty much any doctor at this point. I’m a person who believes 100% completely in great chiropractors but in the past, I have been to some below average. I am NOT a skeptical person in chiropractors but what I witnessed with Dr. Cody’s appointment with mom is totally UNDENIABLE!! First off… the whole office staff & Dr. Cody are absolutely precious & caring people! You could not feel “more valued” and care for! Prior to the adjustment, mom showed him how far she can only lift her left leg, which again we are talking 1 inch. After the first adjustment with Dr. Cody, they did the same test, and she lifted her leg off the ground 5.5 inches. This was a miracle… in 9 months to gain 4.5 MORE inches is huge… and with 1 adjustment! All we could think was this is one visit, with ongoing treatment with Dr. Cody & with time he will have mom walking again! We had lost hope so many many months back with all the doctors & surgeons! But now I have witnessed a positive result in “one treatment” and our hope is back! I would not be surprised if Dr. Cody gets her training dogs again and that hope was out the window in the last 9 months. My mom loves training dogs so much and the thought of her never doing it again… frankly she wanted to give up on all her efforts to recovering. Then Dr. Cody introduced us to Radial Shockwave Therapy at his office. There is no doubting the benefits of this modality either! She has less pain, to the point of her finally being able to dramatically reduce the pain meds! At physical therapy they give her a timed test, walking with a walker down about 30 feet and circle back. Prior to Dr. Cody & Shockwave therapy it took her 62 seconds to finish that test. After Dr. Cody & Shockwave it took her 28 seconds. Then the real shocker, physical therapy does push to see how far she can walk “without” the walker on this same test. Prior she could walk a few steps, but she was always scared. After Dr. Cody & Shockwave she walked the “whole distance without” a walker and alone in 31 seconds! Physical therapy people wanted to know is what the heck did mom do this week! Which we had to shared of course Dr. Cody & Shockwave. Before you give up on feeling better, before you feel like there is no hope… go book with Dr. Cody!
Mar 29, 2025 · Tammy MangunI’ve been going to different chiropractors for over 15 years, and Cody is hands down the best chiropractor I’ve been to! He listens to what is bothering you and treats the problem. He treats every patient differently as opposed to doing the same thing on everyone. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would!
Jan 17, 2025 · Andrew PearlmanI have been working with Dr. Cody Newman for almost a year now regarding my back. I was in multiple car accidents and competitive cheer. I have seen so much progress since seeing him. I have had several chiropractors and spinal surgeons over the years and never felt 100% comfortable. But here I feel so comfortable and feel I am getting the best care/treatment for my injury. Dr. Cody Newman will never shy away from explaining things and helping you understand your diagnosis. If you are needing a new chiropractor that takes his time, shows respect to each and every patient, and truly wants to help his patients I HIGHLY suggest Dr. Cody Newman. 🙌🏻 Thank you to his staff for always being kind and welcoming! You guys are amazing!! Thank you Cody for everything and giving my life back!! My family will ALWAYS cherish you!! God bless- Alexis
