★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Hello Nancy Zerda,Thank you for sharing your concerns, however, I respectfully disagree with the sentiments expressed in your review. Having been a patient at Dr. William Christie's office for several years, I have consistently found the receptionist to be informative and helpful.Regarding your mention of the receptionist insisting on authorization from your Primary Care Physician (PCP), it's important to understand the standard procedure for authorization from an insurance company. Allow me to clarify the process:1. Confirm Patient's Insurance Information: Begin by verifying the patient's insurance details, ensuring accuracy in the information provided.2. Review Referral Documentation: The referral documentation from your PCP is thoroughly reviewed to understand the recommended treatment and any authorization requirements.3. Check Insurance Company's Authorization Policies: Familiarity with the insurance company's specific authorization policies guides the approach to obtaining necessary approvals for medical services.4. Contact the Insurance Company: Direct communication with the insurance company that allows the practice to inquire about the authorization process and provide them with the required patient and referral details.5. Clarify Authorization Requirements: Thorough clarification from the insurance company regarding the specific requirements for authorization, ensuring adherence to their guidelines.6. Explain the Situation to the Patient: Transparent communication with patients about the authorization process and updates from the insurance company is integral when addressing any concerns or misunderstandings.7. Coordinate with PCP if Necessary: If authorization must come directly from the PCP, collaboration within their office is vital to initiate the authorization process promptly.8. Follow Up with Insurance Company: Regular communication with the insurance company ensures that the tracking progress of the authorization request addresses any delays effectively.9. Inform Patient of Authorization Status: Patients are kept informed of the status of their authorization request, providing them with updates until authorization is obtained.10. Proceed with Treatment or Service: Once authorization is secured, you can successfully proceed with scheduling the requested treatment or service, ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed.Regarding your specific situation, if the referral letter indicated contacting the health plan for verification of eligibility and authorization, it implies that the authorization process was indeed in progress. It's mandatory to follow established procedures to ensure compliance with insurance requirements and to prioritize patient care effectively.I understand your frustrations, but I can assure you that Dr. William Christie’s team has always committed to providing quality care and adhering to professional standards.
Mar 30, 2024 · ShinobiThis is my kind of place. Dr. Christie was great and took time with me, and very nice Doctor. The receptionist (Margaret) was also very nice. I went a few times last year, and I'm going back later today to see if they can do something with this pinched nerve..
May 13, 2024 · Ray TondreI recommend Dr. Christi to everyone I know. He is a very good chiropractor. He can adjust your neck and you don't even feel it. He saved my friend from getting a dangerous neck surgery. She couldn't turn her head either way, and now she can. He is alot of fun too. He doesn't rush you in and out. He spends time with you and, gives you a good adjustment..
Feb 07, 2020 · Donna ThomasReceptionist doesn't know authorization comes from insurance company. She kept insisting she had to get authorization from PCP who sent referral. I gave up trying to enlighten her because she was so ill-tempered, rude, and had no sense of simple logic. Authorization for payment comes from those who write the check, babosa. That, uh, would be the insurance company, not the referring doctor. Duh! There it was on the referral letter: "Please contact health plan for verification of eligibility and authorization." What a waste of time and gasoline to travel to the south side to get loudly admonished by an ignorant, belligerant, lazy receptionist who acted as if it were my fault she didn't know how to do her job.
Jun 06, 2018 · Nancy ZerdaI came here for the 1st time on 7/1/2019 on my day and was able to be seen last minute. I live down the street and pass by it everyday but since I work I medical center so by the time I get off and get to the area there is no time. I haven't been to a chiro in over a year and have only been to one other one before and I loved her and what she did to help me so it was gonna sad when she moved to another location farther from me.Honestly I am glad I came here, I am not much of a "people person" lol but the receptionist is someone who is definitely I was able to talk to after I saw Dr Chrisie with no issues at all and she was very nice and friendly to talk to. She wasn't like the "norm" that you see around now where they don't really seem to want to be there, she was there to do her job but also be the welcome you and explain things when I had questions. I was able to conversate with her like I knew her already.Dr. Christie was also great. He is someone who you can tell has been doing his job for a long time and doesn't do it just to do it. He explains to you what he is doing and why he is doing it. Even though this wasn't my 1st adjustment and I knew what to expect, the way he explained things to me brought things to a different light that my previous chiro didn't fully enlighten me to the 1st time. I came in knowing I would feel better from the adjustment but I didn't expect find a chiropractor that I would enjoy coming to especially one that is just down the street from me. I am looking forward to my next appointment with him and will continue to see him as often as I can.
