Three Hab Introduce
For many working individuals in Ohio, understanding the complexities of a workers' compensation claim can be a daunting and often frustrating experience. When a workplace injury occurs, the process of getting the necessary medical treatment and ensuring the associated bills are paid can become a major source of stress. In Ohio, a Managed Care Organization (MCO) plays a crucial role in this process, acting as a liaison between the injured worker, their medical providers, and the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC). 3-Hab is one such MCO located in Cincinnati, serving the needs of local employers and their employees who have suffered a workplace injury.
However, based on feedback from real users, the experience with an MCO like 3-Hab can be challenging. Multiple reviews highlight significant issues, particularly concerning the handling of medical billing and the communication from their staff. Users have reported that bills are often denied, leading to continuous calls from both the MCO and the hospital's billing department. The process is described as being filled with "confusion and delay," with claims that have been found standing on multiple occasions still not being paid in a timely manner. The reports of rude and dismissive representatives are also a recurring theme, suggesting a lack of customer-focused service. For an injured worker, this adds an immense amount of pressure to an already difficult situation, especially when they should be focused on their recovery.
It is important to clarify that 3-Hab is not a chiropractic clinic in the traditional sense, but rather a managed care organization (MCO). Their role is to manage the medical care and payment of claims for workers' compensation injuries. They are responsible for overseeing the medical treatment and the billing that comes from the healthcare providers who treat injured workers. While a workers' compensation claim may involve chiropractic care, 3-Hab's function is administrative, focused on the processing and payment of those claims, rather than providing the hands-on medical care itself. This distinction is crucial for local users to understand when navigating the workers' compensation system in Ohio.
3-Hab is located in Cincinnati, OH 45220, USA. This address places the organization in a central location within the city, which is generally convenient for local Ohio residents. However, since 3-Hab's primary function is as a managed care organization for workers' compensation claims, the physical location may be less relevant for the average user, as much of the communication and paperwork is handled remotely via phone, fax, and mail.
For those needing to contact them, the provided phone number is a key point of accessibility. The mobile and standard phone lines are both listed as (513) 221-3422, which allows for direct communication. Given the nature of their business, which involves a great deal of coordination between various parties, including employers, medical providers, and the BWC, their contact information is a vital tool for those who need to follow up on the status of their claim or resolve billing issues.
Based on their business as a managed care organization (MCO) for the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC), 3-Hab's services are centered on the administrative and financial management of workplace injury claims. These services are not direct medical care, but rather the oversight and facilitation of that care and its associated costs.
Here is a list of some of the key services you can expect from an MCO like 3-Hab:
- Workers' Compensation Claim Management: Their main responsibility is to manage all aspects of an injured worker’s claim, from the initial reporting of the injury to the approval or denial of medical treatments and bills.
- Medical Bill Processing: They are tasked with processing and paying the medical bills that are generated by healthcare providers who treat workers' compensation injuries.
- Coordination of Care: An MCO is meant to coordinate communication between the injured worker, their employer, the BWC, and the treating physicians to ensure a timely and effective recovery.
- Utilizing Physician Case Managers: MCOs are structured to use physician case managers to oversee claims. These managers are supposed to provide a professional level of review for treatment plans.
- Dispute Resolution: In cases where a claim or bill is denied, the MCO is involved in the dispute resolution process, which can sometimes be a lengthy and challenging ordeal for the injured worker.
While the reviews provided for 3-Hab are largely negative and point to significant service issues, the business model of an MCO does have intended features that are meant to be highlights. It is important to present these features in a factual manner, acknowledging the discrepancy between the intended function and the reported customer experience.
Here are some of the intended features of an MCO, which in this case would apply to 3-Hab:
- A Single Point of Contact: The MCO model is designed to provide a single point of contact for an injured worker, known as a Care Coordinator. This is intended to simplify communication and reduce confusion for the injured worker.
- Physician-Driven Claim Management: MCOs like 3-Hab are designed to have claims managed by physicians (e.g., chiropractors, orthopedists, etc.). This is supposed to ensure that clinical decisions are made by professionals with medical expertise, leading to more appropriate and timely care.
- Interactive Client Portals: Many MCOs offer portals for employers and sometimes employees to access real-time claim information, which is intended to increase transparency and streamline the process.
- Timely and Effective Treatment: The stated goal of an MCO is to proactively manage claims to ensure timely and effective treatment, with the ultimate goal of getting the injured worker back to their pre-injury status as quickly as possible.
It is clear from the user reviews that the execution of these intended features has been a major point of contention for many locals. The reports of bill denials, harassment from billing departments, and the need for legal intervention to get claims paid suggest that the service is not meeting the needs of injured workers.
For residents in the Ohio region who need to contact 3-Hab for a workers' compensation claim, the primary contact information is as follows:
Address: Cincinnati, OH 45220, USA
Phone: (513) 221-3422
Mobile Phone: +1 513-221-3422
Given the issues reported by customers, it is prudent for anyone interacting with 3-Hab to maintain meticulous records of all communication, including dates, times, and the names of representatives they speak with. It may also be advisable to seek guidance from a legal professional specializing in workers' compensation, as suggested by one of the reviews.
It is important to frame the conclusion for local users in a way that is both factual and helpful, given the overwhelmingly negative nature of the provided reviews. From the perspective of an Ohio resident navigating the workers' compensation system, 3-Hab is an MCO that you may be assigned to if you have a workplace injury. It is not a place you would choose for direct chiropractic care. Rather, it is the entity responsible for managing the payment of your medical bills and the overall administration of your claim.
Based on the provided customer reviews, it is clear that many people have had significant problems with 3-Hab's service. Reports of delayed payments, claim denials, and poor communication are serious issues that can add substantial stress to an already difficult situation. For this reason, it is crucial for any local user who finds themselves interacting with 3-Hab to be extremely proactive. Maintaining thorough documentation, persistently following up on all communications, and being prepared to seek legal counsel are all steps that may be necessary to ensure a smooth claims process and to avoid the issues that others have experienced. While an MCO like 3-Hab is a necessary part of the Ohio workers' compensation system, users should approach their interactions with caution and diligence.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1In regards to the workers comp service, Without question the worst service I have ever experienced. They will deny every single bill relating to your workers comp claim. You will have to call them then hospital billing everytime you see the doctor associated with your claim. The representatives are either extremely lazy or over worked. At any rate they are always extremely rude and dismissive. Expect confusion and delay with 3hab . Definitely have an attorney.
Nov 22, 2024 · Steve Joker KolbertThey are responsible for paying the workers compensation claim that was generated over a year ago. I was assured it would be taken care of. In the meantime (over six months), I have been harassed with bills from OhioHealth because 3-Hab refuses to pay, despite the decision that my claim has been found standing TWICE.They talk a good game, but be weary, they are just as bad as the others. Unfortunately for them, this will end in a monetary settlement for me as I am being harassed during a high risk pregnancy, that they knew about.

Apr 10, 2019 · Tracey GlynnBeware of this company. They definitely don't have an injured worker's best interest in mind. They will turn down procedure & treatments one after another, so they can collect their money from BWC. If you consider using this company as an MCO be ready for your employees to have horrible customer service, left untreated & never return to work at 💯%. If you're the unlucky employee that picks the short straw & ends up with these idiots, quickly retain an Attorney.
