For many Texans, a pet isn't just an animal; it's a cherished member of the family. When a beloved dog or cat suffers from an injury or a debilitating condition, the emotional and physical toll on both the pet and its owner can be immense. For those facing such challenges in the Coppell area, Rehab 4 Pets and the expertise of Dr. Broadhurst have proven to be a source of incredible hope and healing. This is not a typical veterinary clinic, but a specialized rehabilitation center where advanced therapies and compassionate care come together to help pets regain their mobility and quality of life. As one patient review beautifully states, the experience with Dr. Broadhurst was "nothing short of miraculous" for their paralyzed dachshund. This article will explore the unique services and features that make Rehab 4 Pets a life-changing resource for pet owners in the Texas community, offering a path to recovery that many once thought was impossible.
Rehab 4 Pets operates on the principle that animals, like humans, can benefit from a specialized, multi-modal approach to rehabilitation and pain management. The clinic is led by Dr. Michele Broadhurst, a highly-skilled professional with extensive experience in animal chiropractic and rehabilitation. Dr. Broadhurst’s background is a significant factor in the clinic's success; she graduated from chiropractic college and is certified in canine rehabilitation through the University of Tennessee, bringing a unique blend of expertise to her practice. She is a published author and a renowned lecturer, known for her passion for integrating functional and structural medicine. This combination of knowledge and compassion is evident in the personalized care she provides. As one review highlights, Dr. Broadhurst takes the time to "thoroughly assess" each pet’s condition and creates a "personalized rehab plan tailored to her needs." The team's dedication to the well-being of their furry patients is palpable, creating an environment where pet owners feel supported and their pets are treated with the utmost care and kindness. The clinic's philosophy is rooted in restoring a quality of life to every animal, and their mission is to give every pet the level of care they deserve.
For pet owners in the Coppell community, the location and accessibility of Rehab 4 Pets are designed to make a difficult situation a little easier. The clinic is conveniently situated at 454 Houston St, Coppell, TX 75019, USA. This central location ensures that it is easily reachable for residents of Coppell and the surrounding towns, reducing the stress and travel time often associated with specialized veterinary care. The clinic operates with a focus on patient and owner convenience, understanding that you are an integral part of your pet’s healing journey. The professional and compassionate staff work to make every visit as smooth as possible. In compliance with Texas state law, Rehab 4 Pets requires a referral from a licensed veterinarian, which ensures that all care is a collaborative effort between the pet's primary vet and the rehabilitation specialist. This team-based approach, which is part of their intake process, is a key component of providing the safest and most effective care for your pet.
Rehab 4 Pets offers a wide range of advanced therapies and services, all carefully chosen to create a customized treatment plan for each pet. The clinic's ability to combine multiple modalities in a single session is a major advantage, allowing them to address both primary and compensatory issues. Some of the key services offered include:
- Animal Chiropractic Adjustments: As part of their integrative approach, chiropractic adjustments are used to address misalignments in the spine, which can impact the nervous system and the pet's overall health and mobility.
- Physical Therapy and Therapeutic Exercise: Personalized exercises and stretches are prescribed to help pets regain strength, flexibility, and proper movement patterns. This is often a crucial part of the recovery process.
- Laser Therapy: A non-invasive treatment that uses light to reduce pain and inflammation, and promote tissue healing. It is a key component in the rehabilitation of both acute injuries and chronic conditions.
- EMTT (Extracorporeal Magnetic Transduction Therapy): This advanced, non-invasive therapy is described in a review as a "game-changer for neuro rehab." It uses magnetic fields to stimulate tissue, which is particularly effective for neurological issues and spinal injuries.
- Hydrotherapy (Underwater Treadmill): The underwater treadmill is a fantastic tool for rehabilitation, as it allows pets to walk with reduced weight on their joints, helping to retrain their gait and build muscle strength in a low-impact environment.
- Other Modalities: The clinic also utilizes a range of other therapies such as therapeutic massage, pulsed electromagnetic field therapy, and more, all tailored to the specific needs of the pet.
The features and highlights of Rehab 4 Pets are what truly set the clinic apart and make it a highly recommended resource for pet owners in Texas. These are the elements that consistently earn praise and gratitude from their human clients:
- Miraculous Results: The most compelling highlight is the clinic's ability to achieve "miraculous" results, as seen in the cases of paralyzed dogs who have regained the ability to walk and even run. This provides immense hope for pet owners facing similar challenges.
- Expertise in Neurological and Spinal Injuries: Dr. Broadhurst has a proven track record of effectively treating complex neurological issues, such as the ANNPE spinal injury, using a combination of therapies that target the specific needs of the pet.
- Comprehensive and Personalized Care: The clinic's approach is not "cookie-cutter." Instead, they perform a thorough assessment and create a unique rehabilitation plan for each pet, ensuring that every treatment is as effective as possible.
- Advanced Therapeutic Modalities: The use of cutting-edge technologies like laser therapy, EMTT, and the underwater treadmill gives the clinic a significant advantage in treating complex conditions, offering solutions that many traditional veterinary practices may not.
- Deep Compassion: Reviews consistently highlight Dr. Broadhurst's and the team's "deep compassion" and "loving, patient, and kind" approach, which is essential for both the pets and their owners during a challenging time.

Apr 06, 2025 · Jo JamesWhen your dog goes from not walking to walking, even running, you have to give 5 stars! Dr. Michele has been nothing short of a miracle worker with our dog Scout. Scout was diagnosed with an ANNPE spinal injury after jumping off the couch onto hardwood. It was recommended she enroll in a PT program. She had no mobility in her hind legs and was incontinent. Through a regiment of passive range of motion exercises, red light therapy, EMTT, and hydrotherapy she is now standing up, walking and going to the bathroom on her own. I have posted videos starting from when she was 3 weeks post injury to now 12 weeks. I hope this gives some pet owners hope, and encourages them to contact Dr. Michele immediately for any neurological issues for their fur babies
Feb 28, 2025 · Andrew PriceRehab 4 Pets gave us over a year of more time with my best friend Spider. When we first came here he was in a rough state. His arthritis was so bad he wouldn't want to lay down or go any faster than a slow walk. After several months we got our stubborn boy back. Full of energy and sass to play "no take only throw" and "Tag" (many bribes were needed to touch his paws during therapy) I highly recommend trying Rehab 4 Pets. It is worth it.
Apr 29, 2025 · Andrew MurgiaWe have been so happy with this place. Dr. Broadhurst has seriously helped change our dogs life. We were at a point where we felt hopeless after our dogs double FHO surgery and she has really helped change the outcome of his life. He is doing so much better and gaining muscle in his hind legs from all the work she has us doing and all the work she does with him when we come in. It’s been a great experience and we are so lucky we found this place. If I could give it 10 stars I would!
Mar 27, 2025 · AlexisDr. Broadhurst is exceptional with our mini-Aussie. He has had two incidents with his back and she has him running and playing again. I never thought I would take my dog to a canine chiropractor but it is the best thing I could have done for him.
