Chiropractic care is a holistic healthcare discipline focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of musculoskeletal disorders, with a primary emphasis on the spine. The foundational principle is rooted in the body’s innate ability to heal itself when the nervous system is functioning optimally. The spine, which encases and protects the delicate spinal cord, is central to this system. When spinal vertebrae become misaligned, a condition known as a subluxation, they can interfere with nerve signals, leading to a cascade of issues including pain, inflammation, reduced mobility, and even symptoms in seemingly unrelated parts of the body. Chiropractors utilize precise, non-invasive adjustments (also known as spinal manipulation) to correct these misalignments, thereby restoring proper nerve flow, alleviating pain, and empowering the body's natural healing processes. This drug-free and surgery-free approach is often complemented by other therapeutic modalities to provide comprehensive relief and promote overall well-being.
Many individuals across Illinois seek out chiropractic care for a wide array of conditions. Common reasons include chronic back pain, persistent neck stiffness, debilitating headaches and migraines, radiating pain from sciatica, and localized joint pain such as in the shoulders, hips, knees, and ankles. The approach at Pain Stop Wellness - Chinatown is designed to address not just these common complaints but also conditions like herniated or bulging discs, rotator cuff syndrome, carpal tunnel syndrome, fibromyalgia, and TMJ pain. Furthermore, chiropractic care is frequently sought for rehabilitation following various injuries, including those from auto accidents, sports activities, falls, or workplace incidents. Beyond treating acute symptoms, many Illinois residents incorporate chiropractic adjustments and complementary therapies into their routine as a preventative measure, aiming to maintain spinal health, improve posture, enhance athletic performance, increase flexibility, and boost overall vitality. Pain Stop Wellness - Chinatown, with its integrated approach, is well-equipped to meet these diverse health needs.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My experience here was generally positive but I do have one complaint. The massage therapist Fong was thorough and attentive. The doctor was patient when answering questions and offered adjustments that fixed my SI joint pain effectively, but he adjusted my neck without a discussion first and the adjustment resulted in some mild side effects. I came in for scapula do SI pain, and I did not want a neck adjustment since I have no neck pain, but the doctor provided one anyways, and afterwards I have been experiencing some mild symptoms such as dizziness, small headaches and pain in my neck, which has lasted two weeks till now, and those symptoms were not there before. Again my experience is generally positive and the symptoms are not too severe, so I only took off two star, but I do really want an explanation or solution from this place on why the neck adjustment came with side effects. I tried to schedule another appt with the doctor but they said he threw out his back and cannot see patients at the moment, hopefully once he is better he can fix what is going on with my neck or at least explain what happened. But thank you for fixing my SI pain and teaching me the exercises! Hope you get better soon.
May 03, 2024 · Phoebe SunI had Mike today and he's really amazing! I've been to many different massage establishment, and this is the first time I felt like someone actually tackling my knots especially in my neck. Usually people are too scared to do that. I would definitely comeback and request him.
Jun 25, 2023 · Sandy NguyenI recommend this place. They found knots I didn’t know I had. The therapist Lina is very good and put all her effort in that massage. Honestly, it’s a deep tissue and very hard, but I haven’t felt this relax in years. Go check it out, the staff is friendly and the receptionist is very nice and attentive, the place is very clean. It’s small but will definitely go back when I have the time.
Mar 02, 2019 · Jose CortezEveryone was extremely accommodating and pleasant! Cynthia at the front desk is so patient. Latoya was my masseuse. She has magic hands and knows just how to find all the knots you never knew you had. Dr. Jeong was amazing and by far the most professional and knowledgeable Doctor I've ever dealt with. He really listened to me and put a lot of effort into treating me. After only one visit my TMJ and posture is dramatically improved! Highly recommended!
Jan 11, 2022 · Jon DonymTherapist communicate with you and explain the source of your pain. The staff is better than the staff they use to have. Even the chiropractor is new and he is doing an amazing job. I really recommend coming here. I got a massage by Omni and Glenn.
