For residents of San Francisco and the surrounding areas, the accessibility of a healthcare provider is a significant factor. Latch & So Chiropractic is strategically located at 1237 Van Ness Ave #300, San Francisco, CA 94109. This address places the practice in a central and well-known part of the city, making it relatively easy to reach for many. Van Ness Avenue is a major thoroughfare, which means it is serviced by various public transportation options, including MUNI buses. This is a crucial consideration for those who rely on public transit to get around the city. The location's prominence also means it's generally well-served by rideshare services and taxis.
For those who prefer to drive, finding a location with reasonable parking options can be a challenge in San Francisco, but the central location on Van Ness Ave offers some possibilities. While street parking can be competitive, there are often public garages or lots within a short walking distance. Patients are advised to plan their commute accordingly, especially during peak traffic times, as navigating San Francisco's streets can be time-consuming. The practice's suite number, #300, indicates it is located within a larger building, so it's helpful to be aware of the specific address and suite number upon arrival. The convenience of its location is a definite plus for many clients, as it reduces the travel burden often associated with healthcare appointments.
The practice's central location makes it accessible not only to residents of San Francisco but also to those who commute into the city for work. Being situated on a main artery like Van Ness Ave means it’s easily integrated into a daily routine, whether it’s a quick visit during a lunch break or a stop on the way home. The accessibility of the practice is a key factor in its suitability for the fast-paced lives of Californians, ensuring that prioritizing one's health doesn't have to be an added logistical challenge.
Latch & So Chiropractic offers a range of services designed to address various musculoskeletal issues and promote overall wellness. Their approach is centered on traditional chiropractic care, with a strong emphasis on personalized treatment plans.
- Chiropractic Adjustments: This is the core service of the practice. The chiropractors perform spinal adjustments to correct misalignments, which can help alleviate pain, improve joint function, and enhance the body's natural healing processes. These adjustments are a key component of their treatment for issues in the back, neck, and hips.
- Pain Relief: The practice specializes in providing relief from a variety of common pains, including chronic back pain, neck stiffness, and hip discomfort. The treatments are tailored to the individual's specific condition and level of pain.
- Wellness Visits: Latch & So Chiropractic strongly advocates for preventative care. Many long-term patients visit for regular "wellness visits" or "tune-ups" even when they are not experiencing specific pain. These proactive adjustments are seen as crucial for maintaining the long-term health of the spine and joints, helping to prevent future issues from arising.
- Consultations: For new patients, a consultation is a vital first step. This allows the chiropractors to assess the patient's condition, discuss their health history, and determine the most appropriate course of treatment. It's a chance for patients to ask questions and understand the benefits of chiropractic care.
The services offered are a testament to the practice's comprehensive approach to patient health, focusing on both reactive pain management and proactive wellness maintenance.
What sets Latch & So Chiropractic apart are several key features that contribute to a positive and effective patient experience.
- Family Legacy: The practice is a true family operation, with Dr. David Latch and Dr. Dan Latch continuing a tradition of chiropractic care started by their father, Dr. Lloyd Latch. This multi-generational commitment to the field adds a layer of trust and experience that is highly valued by many patients.
- Efficient Operations: The office is noted for being "run like a well-oiled machine." Patients rarely have to wait long to be seen, with a smooth and streamlined process from check-in to treatment. This efficiency is a major benefit for busy individuals in San Francisco.
- Friendly and Relaxed Atmosphere: Despite its professional efficiency, the office maintains a relaxed and welcoming environment. The staff are described as friendly, and Dr. So is noted for her courteous and professional demeanor. This combination of professionalism and warmth makes for a comfortable patient experience.
- Long-Term Patient Relationships: The practice fosters strong, long-term relationships with its patients. Many clients, like one who has been with the practice since 1998, highlight the trust and rapport they have built with the chiropractors over many years of care.
These features, combined with the professional services, create a holistic and patient-centered environment.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Dr. David Latch has been my chiropractor since 1998. I go see him if I am having discomfort with my back or neck or hips, but I also make an effort to stop in for an adjustment once a month or two even if I am not dealing with any issues in particular. In some ways I feel like these "wellness visits" are more important for the long-term health of my spine and joints than when I visit him to deal with pain. Two quick points: I never wait more than a few moments to get shown in to a room and seen by Dr. Latch, the office is run like a well-oiled machine with friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. Also it's truly a family operation, with Dr. Dan Latch down the hall and photos of their father Dr. Lloyd Latch on the walls. Dr. So is always ready with a hello and a smile if I see her in the hallway, the whole team is courteous and professional. Go in for a consultation, I can't recommend Latch & So. strongly enough.
Jan 16, 2025 · Andy FischtromWould give negative review if I could, I am 8 months pregnant and called and set up an appointment weeks ago for prenatal chiropractic and was told I was covered at point of setting up appointment. Got 4 reminders leading up, thought very excessive and annoying, but let's go into it open minded. Day of drive all the way across the city at rush hour traffic, and get in there and the first thing they say is IM NOT COVERED! Couldn't that have been in the 4 reminders, 2 emails and 1 phone call and 1 text I was sent? VERY UNIMPRESSED.
Jan 31, 2025 · Brianna DeiotteIt’s been only a couple months since my first appointment with Dr. So about my neck pain and my neck feels so much better than ever! She was very friendly and caring, and not only explained the causes from the X-rays and adjusted your neck but also taught me how to do exercises to avoid popping my neck. She was very patient and answered all my questions. Dr. So has magic hands, thank you!
Dec 07, 2024 · Hongjun WuDr. Dan was AMAZING!!! I was terrified of going to the chiropractor but I had a pain in my back that was not improving no matter what I did. Dr. Dan was referred by a trusted friend and one visit with him, LIFE CHANGING!! I no longer have any back pain and I am truly grateful for his expertise. He is truly an expert, very thorough and takes the time to educate you on the process. I highly recommend him to everyone I know. Thank you, Dr. Dan!
Jul 19, 2024 · Romeena GhazianiKatherine Hipp is a professional, her exam process is first class she genuinely cares about her clients. She understands the human anatomy, and that makes for the best possible experience in feeling better. I have been looking for a long-term Chiropractor and I have found her. My wife also saw her today without an appointment even! As she's called out from work I had an appointment all ready and was ready to give her my appointment but Dr. Hipp fit us both in.
