Katz Accident & Injury Center Introduce
When the unexpected happens—a car accident, a workplace injury, or any other sudden trauma—the road to recovery can feel overwhelming. In the bustling and diverse city of San Francisco, finding a compassionate and experienced healthcare provider who understands the complexities of these situations is paramount. For many residents, this search leads to Katz Accident & Injury Center, a chiropractic clinic on Mission Street that has dedicated itself to helping people navigate the physical and logistical challenges of accident-related injuries. While the name highlights a specific focus on accidents and injuries, the core of the practice is providing professional chiropractic care with a personal touch. The clinic serves as a resource for those who need more than just a quick adjustment; they need a partner in their healing journey, especially when dealing with legal and insurance matters.
The initial experience with any healthcare provider sets the tone for the entire treatment process. Some patients, as noted in a review, have been deeply impressed by the personal qualities of Dr. Katz. One customer wrote, “Dr Katz is a great Dr and even better person....I've been 2 times and he is the kindest most down to earth individual..highly appreciated and is a pleasure to see him if youre lucky enough! Ty Dr. Katz you are 1 of a kind in the best of ways!” This kind of feedback speaks volumes about the clinic’s atmosphere and the doctor's bedside manner. For many, finding a doctor who is not only knowledgeable but also genuinely kind and approachable is a rare and valued experience. This human element can be crucial, especially for patients who are in pain and feeling vulnerable after an accident. It suggests a practice where the patient is seen as a person, not just a case.
However, the experience is not always perfect for everyone, and it is important for potential patients to consider all perspectives. Another review highlights a significant communication challenge when dealing with the clinic’s administrative side. The customer detailed a frustrating experience while trying to book an appointment, noting a lack of effective communication regarding insurance coverage. This individual's review mentions, “Don’t come here, they can’t even do basic communication. Awful customer service!” and describes a situation where they were repeatedly interrupted while trying to be helpful about the clinic’s listing on an insurance website. This feedback points to a potential need for improvement in the clinic’s front-office operations. For local users, especially those navigating the complexities of insurance claims after an accident, clear and polite communication is a critical part of the service. This feedback provides a comprehensive view, showing that while Dr. Katz is highly praised as a person, the overall customer service experience may vary.
Accessibility is a key factor for anyone seeking medical care, and for San Franciscans, this often means considering both driving and public transit options. Katz Accident & Injury Center is strategically located at 4879 Mission Street in the Excelsior district. This location places it on a major street in the city, making it easily accessible for residents of the Excelsior, Ingleside, and surrounding neighborhoods. Mission Street is a primary artery for city buses, which is a major advantage for people who may be unable to drive due to their injuries or who simply prefer not to deal with San Francisco parking. For those who do drive, the proximity to major roads and the consistent flow of traffic on Mission Street make it a recognizable and relatively easy destination to find. Its spot in the Excelsior district also means it is a truly local business, serving a tight-knit community that values neighborhood-based services.
Being located in a residential and commercial hub like this ensures that the clinic is more than just an office; it's a part of the community fabric. This local embeddedness can be a significant comfort to patients, who might prefer a familiar neighborhood setting over a sterile, corporate medical building. The address, 4879 Mission St, San Francisco, CA 94112, places it squarely in a part of the city where residents are looking for trusted, nearby professionals to address their health needs. The clinic’s focus on accident and injury cases is particularly relevant in a dense urban environment where incidents like car accidents and workers' compensation claims are unfortunately common. This combination of central location and specialized care makes it a practical and suitable choice for many San Francisco locals.

Jan 19, 2025 · kevin lytkowskiDon’t come here, they can’t even do basic communication. Awful customer service! I was trying to book an appointment through my insurance because this business is listed under the coverage. Literally the ONLY reason I called them! The person who answered said my service wouldn’t be covered under my insurance plan. She apologized and I said “no problem! but you might want to have your business removed from the coverage list on the insurance site” and she kept interrupting me with “no we don’t accept” I tried to be helpful and let her know that their business is listed as accepting my insurance and she again interrupted me with “no we don’t accept” I replied “I understand that but I just want to help you so no more people call so you might want to have your business removed from the insurance list” again interrupts me even after I explain I’m trying to be helpful! She also tried to rush me off the phone. I would have actually booked an appointment even without the insurance coverage but since this person wants to be incompetent and rude… nope! I was looking for a regular Chiropractor too. Not the place!

Apr 30, 2021 · Jenol McLinnSCAM, BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU SIGN. If you have the opportunity to come here, do yourself a favor and don't. To quickly put this into context, I had an accident that wasn't my fault. I contacted some lawyers, and they referred me to this place to attend physical therapy for my ailments. The lawyers said I wouldn't have to pay anything if I lost the case. However, these people, in bad faith, made me sign some documents that were poorly translated into Spanish, stating that I had to take care of the physical therapy costs if I lost the case. This happened. The insurance company determined that it was my "fault," and these people immediately started sending me checks to my home, which I won't pay because I signed a contract with the lawyers, not with them. The lawyers tried to reason with the "doctor" who works here, since he did this in bad faith, and they want to extort money from me, which I won't pay. They've sent me all kinds of checks, trying to recover the money. Below is a comment from another person who had the same thing happen to them. You probably don't see this, but tell that doctor, he's not going to get a penny from me just for breaking my back, and that's it. I have nothing in my name, no bank account, no car. No nothing. If this has happened to anyone else, please write to me so we can join forces and sue them, because I'm sure I'm not the only one this has happened to.
Aug 26, 2024 · zayu plataThat doctor Katz is arrogant, I went to an appointment and without mincing words he told me to look for another doctor, I have a lesson and I am in a lot of pain, he didn't give me a single pill, he only cares about money and he treats his employees badly, I shouldn't have that title of doctor.
