He does dry needling too which is really cool & effective. He always shared stretches to help my symptoms." This review highlights the practice’s use of diverse treatment methods and its dedication to empowering patients with the knowledge to manage their symptoms at home. Another patient's experience further underscores this commitment to thoroughness and personal attention. They noted that Jonathan "stayed and worked with me for over an hour (I was the last appointment, he was not ignoring other patients), taking a ton of time to make sure he got ALL the background information about my situation and then working with me through some adjustments and take home exercises." In a world where healthcare often feels rushed, this level of attention is invaluable. The patient was particularly appreciative that Jonathan "watched me do the exercises he prescribed to make sure I would do them correctly at home," ensuring the success of the treatment plan. Dry needling involves inserting an acupuncture needle into a tight or sore muscle or along a neurologic pathway to stimulate a healing response. It can also stimulate a local analgesic effect, making for an effective method to address long-standing muscle pain, joint pain or nerve pain.

Cupping is a traditional therapy that involves placing cups on the skin to create a suction or mechanical decompression that can help with pain, inflammation, and relaxation. It is used at Highlands Sport and Spine by our sports chiropractors, acupuncturists and massage therapists.

He always shared stretches to help my symptoms. They also offer massage therapy which I loved. I moved 30 minutes away and will still make the trip in as needed.
May 29, 2025 · Alexandra MarraJonathan was great to work with. I had a 45 minute initial consult and he stayed and worked with me for over an hour (I was the last appointment, he was not ignoring other patients), taking a ton of time to make sure he got ALL the background information about my situation and then working with me through some adjustments and take home exercises. In a world where doctors often make you feel rushed, this appointment had the complete opposite vibe. He was probing with questions, open to all information that I shared and, even though we were over time, watched me do the exercises he prescribed to make sure I would do them correctly at home. I can’t state enough how much I appreciated that.I had a great experience, from the service to the neighborhood feel that this place has. Highly recommend
Apr 16, 2025 · Robert HickeyDr Weimer is a miracle worker. He’s the best PT/chiropractor I’ve ever had. He’s not one of those shady chiros that put a you on a 12 week plan without any results. He’s all about solving the issue and making sure you’re healthy. He’s also sports focused, so he gets you back into your sport as safely and quickly as possible. He’s solved recurring back issues for me in as few as 2 visits. He’s solid. I’d recommend him to anyone, and I’m definitely one of those people that’s very suspicious of chiropractors.
May 21, 2025 · Raina BayasI have tried every service at HSS (chiro, massage, acupuncture) and can confidently tell you that you won't find a better practice anywhere else. They are so excellent that I pay out of pocket because I have the one insurance they wont take. I figure I save time and money by going to people who truly know what they're doing. I came to this practice months into TMJ that had been brushed off by my PCP and dentist ("it should go away"). I saw Dr Weimer first. He may be the smartest human I've ever met-- I swear his brain fires lightyears a minute. A diagnosis from him feels more accurate than you'll get anywhere because he knows everything. At intake he diagnosed the type and cause, did some dry needling (it was very stiff causing my jaw to operate crooked), trained me in some PT, and had me come back for four weeks. My TMJ went down by about 85% in just four visits. Feeling like life could be enjoyable again, on a whim I tried a massage with Rachel, who is an actual sports medicine masseuse, not the rinky dink vacation massages. With her help my TMJ could go almost unnoticeable. A few months later due to an unrelated cause I developed neuropathy and nerve tingling in my left hand. I knew exactly where to go! I also tried acupuncture with Kyle, who can do a lot more dry needling than I can fit into a tight visit with Dr Weimer. At this point we are working on developing strength to make me more resilient and less prone to issues. With the whole team's help I'm overcoming chronic issues, learning more about how my body works, and evolving into my best and most active self.
Jun 02, 2025 · Vanessa BuffryHighly recommend Highlands Sport and Spine! Dr. Rickman is a man full of knowledge and he's been so enjoyable to work with. He listens to his patients needs and I love the "PT" approach to pain relief. My lower back had been bothering me for almost half a year and from day one he made sure it would get better and we attacked it together with the help of his expertise. So thankful I chose this place!
