Dr. Gus Katsigiorgis, D.O. Introduce
For residents of New York, and especially those in the Suffolk County area, finding a medical professional who can address complex musculoskeletal issues is a priority. When dealing with pain and injury, a doctor who is both knowledgeable and experienced is essential. Dr. Gus Katsigiorgis, D.O., located in Patchogue, NY, is a practitioner who has garnered attention for his work in the field. He is a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, a distinction that often means a focus on the body's interconnected systems and a holistic approach to patient care. This article aims to provide a comprehensive and factual overview of his practice, based on public information and genuine patient feedback, to help local New Yorkers make an informed decision about their healthcare.
Dr. Gus Katsigiorgis’s practice is situated in the heart of Patchogue, a vibrant community with a diverse population. The office's focus appears to be on a range of orthopedic and physical medicine issues, offering a potential solution for those suffering from chronic or acute pain. Patients have noted that Dr. Katsigiorgis himself is highly skilled and capable, with some even praising the successful outcomes of procedures he performed, such as a shoulder treatment that yielded excellent results. This indicates that his medical expertise is valued by those he treats. However, the patient experience is shaped by more than just the doctor's direct interactions, and it is important to consider all aspects of the practice when choosing a healthcare provider. The quality of care often extends to the administrative side of the office, including scheduling, communication, and overall patient management. This article will explore both the positive aspects of the doctor's medical abilities and the challenges some patients have faced with the office administration, providing a balanced perspective for potential patients.
In a metropolitan area like New York, accessibility is a critical factor for any medical office. Dr. Gus Katsigiorgis, D.O. is conveniently located at 485 N Ocean Ave, Patchogue, NY 11772, USA. This address places the practice in a prominent location within Patchogue, making it relatively easy to find for locals in the surrounding communities. The office’s position on North Ocean Avenue provides a clear point of reference and a straightforward route for those traveling by car. However, for a medical office, accessibility also includes the practicalities of patient flow and scheduling. Public feedback has, at times, highlighted significant issues with office management, with some patients reporting extremely long wait times of up to eight hours. This is a crucial point for anyone considering the practice, especially for those who are in pain and have limited mobility. The ability to manage a full patient load effectively is an integral part of providing good care. While the physical location is convenient, the practical accessibility of the care itself, as experienced by some patients, appears to be a significant concern that prospective visitors should be aware of. The office's location is a benefit, but the reported challenges with scheduling and patient communication could offset this advantage for some individuals.
Based on the public data available, the practice of Dr. Gus Katsigiorgis, D.O. focuses on a variety of services related to orthopedic and musculoskeletal health. While patient reviews are mixed regarding the overall experience, they do provide insight into the types of conditions and treatments offered. Here is a general overview of the services, keeping in mind that the doctor's specific expertise is what draws many to his office:
- Orthopedic Treatments: Dr. Katsigiorgis's practice appears to handle a range of orthopedic issues. Reviews mention treatments for both shoulder and knee problems, suggesting a focus on joint and musculoskeletal injuries.
- Pain Management: The practice is a resource for those dealing with persistent or chronic pain. The osteopathic approach often involves identifying the source of pain and using a combination of methods to alleviate it.

- Post-Injury Care: The practice likely assists patients in recovering from injuries, providing a treatment plan that could include a variety of interventions.
When considering a medical practice, it's important to look at its highlights and features to understand what sets it apart. In the case of Dr. Gus Katsigiorgis, D.O., the primary highlight is the doctor's own medical skill and knowledge. While the doctor's skills are valued, these logistical issues could pose a challenge for individuals seeking a smooth and stress-free healthcare experience. Ultimately, this practice could be suitable for a local who prioritizes the doctor's direct expertise above all else and is prepared to navigate potential administrative hurdles. Dr. Gus Katsigiorgis, D.O. Reviews
This is by far the worst doctors office in history. Dr Gus katsigiorgis did my shoulder than my knee. Shoulder is great knee is not. He’s not the problem. It’s the ppl who run the office. I spent almost 8 hrs in the waiting room during my last two appointments. That’s outrageous. Iv left several messages not one time has anyone responded. I’m living in more pain than before he “fixed it” and they could care less. Stay away from this office but not the doctor. Iv had it and have to find a new doctor.
Jan 05, 2024 · Kenneth ColganAvoid this place even if it is the only place you can go. Besides 2 1/2 hour wait and an overcrowded waiting room during a pandemic, there were multiple other problems.Never saw the doctor, but a PA who didn’t seem quite confident in what he was doing. Then they scheduled me for an MRI. But after several days waiting for approval, I called insurance company and doctor’s office never submitted the claim. Called them to ask what happened and for them to submit it and constantly placed on hold for 20 mins at a time with nobody picking up. About to drive 20 mins to get there to speak to someone in person. In a lot of pain and can’t walk but have to do this now. Worst doctor I have ever been too. Feel bad others have to go there.
Aug 02, 2021 · Eric RubinIf possible i would give him negative. He is a monster.his license should be revoked. Because of him i was misdiagnosed and suffered more than a year before i got to know what exactly happened to me.he has two PA's who sees the patients.he never saw me, didn't even talk to me ever.please everyone be aware and don't commit suicide by choosing this doctor
Jan 20, 2020 · El DoredoActually 0 stars would be more appropriate but apparently you have to have at least one star. Ruined my left knee. First w microfracture surgery. Then had left knee replacement surgery in 2009. Was told to show up at hospital at 4pm. Didn't go under the knife till midnight. I should have left the hospital but hindsight is 20-20. Anyway, had to get left kneecap replaced the following year. Thankfully I got it replaced at the Hospital for Special Surgery. I also had right knee replacement surgery. Thankfully surgery was at H.S.S. I would recommend not going to this hack of a Dr. Pretty much anywhere but Dr Katsigiorgis. Especially the Hospital for Special Surgery. Dr Parks
