Hello, New Yorkers! Living in our dynamic city often means an active, on-the-go lifestyle, which, while invigorating, can also lead to a variety of physical challenges. From the strains of long commutes to the demands of sports and even recovery from surgery, our bodies sometimes need specialized care to keep up. When you're seeking not just temporary relief, but a comprehensive and integrated approach to healing that truly addresses the root cause of your pain and helps you regain full function, **David S. Williams, DC**, and the team at **Integrated Spine and Sports** are your ideal partners. Located conveniently on the Upper West Side, this practice is renowned for its collaborative expertise, offering a unique blend of chiropractic care and physical therapy to help active New Yorkers overcome injuries, manage chronic ailments, and get back to living life without limits.
Chiropractic care is a primary healthcare profession focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of musculoskeletal disorders, with a particular emphasis on the spine. It operates on the principle that proper alignment and function of the body's structure are essential for optimal nervous system function and overall health. When spinal vertebrae or other joints become misaligned or restricted (often referred to as subluxations), they can interfere with nerve communication, leading to pain, reduced mobility, and various other health concerns. Chiropractors, like **Dr. David S. Williams, DC**, utilize precise, hands-on adjustments to correct these misalignments. The goal is to restore proper joint movement, reduce nerve irritation, and enhance the body's natural healing capabilities. What truly distinguishes a practice like Integrated Spine and Sports is its holistic and integrated approach, combining chiropractic expertise with physical therapy. This means that while chiropractic care addresses the structural alignment, physical therapy focuses on strengthening muscles, improving flexibility, and restoring proper movement patterns. This synergistic approach leads to faster recovery, more comprehensive pain relief, and improved long-term outcomes, making it exceptionally effective for complex issues like running injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and persistent discomfort. For active New Yorkers, this integrated care is invaluable for not only treating current ailments but also for preventing future injuries and enhancing overall physical performance.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I have only had positive experiences at Integrated Spine and Sports. I saw Dr. Williams many years ago for a running injury and have continued to see him for other ailments. I always feel better when I leave the office. I had bunion surgery in November of 2022 and was referred to Brian for PT. I was impressed with Brian’s knowledge and sensitivity. He helped the recovery process very much and I am incredibly grateful! The office is also run very well and everyone who works there is kind, compassionate and organized!! I cannot recommend the practice more!
Jul 28, 2023 · Elizabeth RappaportI have the best references regarding this place. After surgery on my right foot, and after a failed PT attempt at another PT clinic, I arrived at Integrative Spine & Sports unmotivated and with little faith in my recovery, but the team that welcomed me left me with hope in progress of my recovery.I worked with Dr Williams for a few weeks and after a few weeks the evolutions was remarkable. After a few weeks, Dr Williams, he directed my treatment to Dr Bryan, where, yes, the evolution was amazing. From the first minute, Dr Bryan made it clear that it could be a long process, but that we would achieve positive results. That's when I started to be happy with the results, because the results were noticeable with each session. Thanks to Dr Bryan, his patience and his persistence, today I can walk naturally.I recommend this place, a very professional team, from the front desk to the medical team.

Jun 26, 2025 · Tyler RedelicoThis is a review of Brian Shtab.Brian is an exceptional physical therapist. He explains the rationale behind the movements and always has lots of variety. I had two visits a week with him for twelve weeks and now am healed. I looked forward to every session. He is an understanding and kind person. I especially like that he is a certified strength and conditioning coach. He helped me transition from PT to going back to the gym. I am grateful for his expertise and guidance during my recovery and I strongly recommend him.Kevin P.

They tailor their program and course of action to meet my exact needs. With a combination of exercises, gentle manipulation and stim/heat, I feel myself getting stronger every time.
