★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Called before I went and asked if they did dry needling. They confirmed that they did. When I arrived to my appointment I asked the woman at the front desk about the dry needling and again got confirmation that’s what my appointment was for. See the practitioner and again I bring up that I am here for dry needling in particular. I must have brought it up 5-7 times throughout the appointment and it was brushed off each time. Never did i receive the dry needling I requested and checked in with them about countless times. My insurance does not cover acupuncture so I had to pay $150 out of pocket for a regular acupuncture appointment I didn’t actually want. The session was fine, but at some point it would have been nice if they told me they in fact wouldn’t be doing dry needling so i could save the heavy cost of $150 out of pocket. The acupuncture itself was fine. The staff was nice enough, but feel like i was deceived the entire time when I was very very clear about what I was there for. Such a disappointing experience. I don’t know what more I could have done.
Jun 26, 2025 · erika langI love love love this place I could live there. It has been a saving grace in my recovery from months of chronic lower back, sacroiliac joint and hip pain which caused limited range of mobility with limping. The practice boasts a cozy atmosphere, ambience is quite lovely and the decor makes you feel a sense of peace in the moment. I had the honor and privilege to be taken under the wings of Dr. Marlene Rivera and Dr. Fuller who both have been amazing.I was highly impressed with Dr. Rivera’s expertise in chiropractic care. She’s very pleasant, listens to all your concerns, tries her best to aid, offers valuable advice and recommendations for at home care. After many sessions with her which included manual chiropractic adjustments, stretches, massage along with the utilization of the traction table, it helped tremendously to alleviate my pinch nerve diagnosis. In conjunction to her skills, she realized that I could definitely benefit from acupuncture for the deliberating pain that I was experiencing so she highly recommended her colleague Dr. Fuller.Dr. Fuller is a master healer and an acupuncture specialist. She displays professionalism, friendliness and truly cares about your well being. After attending many psychiatrists, orthopedic, spine surgeons and physical therapy appointments with no improvement of my sciatica symptoms I began to feel hopeless and frustrated.Wow!! Not only did she know how to treat this condition but she always provided words of encouragement, positive energy and went above and beyond by trying different techniques such as cupping, dry needling, scraping, massage, hot/cold therapy and reiki healing based on my feedback.I started to see major improvement in my health both physically and emotionally. To my astonishment, I went from not being able to perform my daily activities without pain to almost back to normal with less leg weakness, numbness and tingling sensation within a few weeks. A simple walk to the train was achievable again. What a miracle! Super grateful is an understatement but gratitude is a must.I’m so happy that I discovered this wonderful gem. It’s a phenomenal asset in my neighborhood. Shout out and cheers to the front desk team who has always been very supportive just by displaying a warm greet with a simple smile and accommodating me by ensuring a smooth, pleasant experience. I highly recommend it to others.Way to go Community Chiropractic and Acupuncture of Park Slope!!🎉❤️
Aug 13, 2023 · TULANI CLARKEI can’t really say enough good things. I see Shoshana Fuller for acupuncture and Jonathan Pickle for chiro and both are phenomenal and thoughtful practitioners. Plus the practice has made it super easy to use my insurance. My only complaint is that there is no way to schedule appointments online, but having to call to make appointments is completely worth it because the care the offer is above and beyond and the admin folks are always wonderful, kind, and accommodating.
Nov 20, 2024 · Mica baum - tuccilloHighly recommend this practice!! In the past few months I have been coming in on a regular basis to manage chronic lower back pain with nerve issues along with herniated disc in neck creating upper back pain. This office from the front desk to the practitioners has truly the kindest, patient, and empathetic team.Dr Josh is a wonderful chiropractor- as someone who is and was very hesitant to work with one, he was very patient and understanding. Only moving at a pace I felt comfortable with and being very gentle. After only a couple sessions with him I felt a significant decrease in pain while sitting and walking.Dr Efrain was able to read my body quickly and identify things like dehydration along with helping me understand how to identify when my body needs attention.Dr Shoshana was so patient with explaining what was going on with my body and how to support me in my recovery. She had a very unique approach that was was both efficient and gentle.Across the board these practioners were so thoughtful and obviously cared about my well being, from the very first visit. I genuinely feel a significant improvement after every appointment.Couldn’t say enough good things!! Thank you so much, these visits have been such a game changer for me - body spirit and mind!! ❤️🙏🏽
Sep 07, 2023 · Melissa Louis-JacquesI rarely write reviews, but I have excellent care at Community Acupuncture. I have seen Dr David (he did my intake). He was warm and professional and encouraged me to keep going with both my medical care and alternative treatments with him. I have seen Dr Sashana. She is warm and wonderful. She spent a lot of time. She encouraged me to see her colleague, Dr Thomas as well as as we were figuring out my issue. After 3 visits at the center, I have felt better than I had in six months. What a relief! I’m so grateful for the quiet and welcoming atmosphere, fir the incredible support and the excellent care.
