Collar & Saddle Animal Chiropractic Introduce
For many Texans, our pets, show animals, and athletic companions are more than just animals—they are part of the family. When a beloved dog is limping, a horse is struggling with performance, or a pet is experiencing a loss of mobility, finding a specialist who can help is a top priority. While traditional veterinary medicine is crucial, sometimes the solution lies in a more holistic approach that addresses the body’s mechanics and nervous system. This is where Collar & Saddle Animal Chiropractic in Mansfield stands out as a unique and invaluable resource for the local community. Led by Dr. Amy Gonzalez, this practice provides specialized chiropractic care for animals, working to improve their quality of life, mobility, and overall well-being. This article is written for you, a local Texan pet owner, to provide a detailed overview of this practice, helping you understand how it can be a transformative option for your furry family members.
The philosophy at Collar & Saddle Animal Chiropractic is a deeply compassionate one, centered on helping animals live longer, pain-free lives. Dr. Amy Gonzalez, the owner and a chiropractor with over 13 years of experience in human practice, has a genuine love for animals and a deep understanding of their anatomy and neurology. She is known for being "very honest and up front with you as to what to expect," creating a relationship built on trust with both the animal and the owner. A patient’s review about their dog, “Little Legs,” who was unable to walk, perfectly illustrates Dr. Amy’s impact. After the very first visit, Little Legs tried to walk, and just three weeks later, she was walking again. Dr. Amy’s approach is not only effective but also collaborative, as she works with the animal’s regular veterinarian to ensure a proper and comprehensive treatment plan. This multidisciplinary approach ensures the best possible outcome for the animal. Patients also appreciate that Dr. Amy is "very affordable," making this specialized care accessible to more pet owners. Her ability to connect with animals, even "snobby" ones like Little Legs, and the positive changes seen in pets like Sophie and Fern, speak volumes about her expertise and gentle demeanor. A patient noted how their 11-year-old chihuahua's limp disappeared and their skittish bloodhound started jumping into the car again, demonstrating the profound impact of Dr. Amy's care. The trust that animals "genuinely seem to like and trust Dr. Gonzalez" is a key part of the healing process and a testament to her skill and compassion. Collar & Saddle is a place where animals are treated like family, and the results are truly remarkable.

Dr. Amy is very honest and up front with you as to what to expect, she is wonderful and very loving with Little Legs. Little Legs can be kinda snobby but she loves Dr. Amy! Oct 17, 2023 · Kelley CMy 11 year old chihuahua, Sophie, had developed a pretty nasty limp and a bulging muscle on one of her front legs earlier this year. My vet conducted an exam and much to my surprise, there was nothing wrong with her leg - at all. The culprit was her spine which was causing overcompensation and an altered gait. After several spinal injections at my regular vet, I decided to reach out to Collar & Saddle for chiropractic care for her. The intervals between injections was getting shorter, as symptoms where reappearing quicker. My vet was enthusiastic when I asked him his thoughts on animal chiropractic for her.I have been so impressed with the change in Sophie, that I also have had Dr. Gonzalez start working with my very shy and skittish Bloodhound, Fern. I had started to notice some dragging of her back foot near the end or our walks and a slightly out-turned foot in the back. She had stopped jumping into the car, and now was preferring to only put her front legs in and wait for me to lift her the rest of the way (all 70 lbs of her). After the first 2 treatments I was noticing a significant reduction in the toenail dragging, a repositioning of her foot, and she jumped into the back seat after our last trip to the park. My animals genuinely seem to like and trust Dr. Gonzalez. Both of them have taken to her right away and I'm seeing very positive results. Sophie has already moved to more of a maintenance schedule at this point. I am beyond pleased at the progress in both of my girls, and will recommend Collar & Saddle to anyone and everyone.
Dec 30, 2020 · Carol ReamesMy name is Bob Marley. I went to see Dr. Amy today because my mom thought I was walking funny. Dr. Amy rubbed my neck and back and tummy and I feel so much better. Thanks for the biscuit, Dr. Amy.
Sep 02, 2021 · Kathy AndersenDr, Gonzales is amazing! My 11 year old Italian greyhound - doxi mix was not able to walk with a correct gait, limping, holding his paw up and you could tell hurting when running. Dr. Gonzales was able to work on him and adjust him plus massage his muscles to help relax the area where he had to put extra strain with his gait being off. She is so caring and comforting with your furbaby and my pups were very comfortable around her. She fixed my babies gait and is running and playing normal. Yeah! She also worked on my mini doxi who was a rescue and we noticed he would not raise his tail up when walking and walked a little crooked. Dr. Gonzales was able to work on him and after a few visits his tail can raise straight up like it is supposed to and he walks and runs so much better! So great to see his tail up and wagging! Dr. Gonzales is professional and you can tell a lover of furbabies. It is also great that she comes to your house, which is so much more relaxing on my pups. I definitely recommend her and her business if your furbaby is in need for chiro care!
Feb 07, 2021 · Tanya whiteheadSaddle and Collar Animal Chiropractic is amazing. They are caring and knowledgeable. I’ve used other animal chiropractors in the past and Saddle and Collar are superior in every way. I have a 13 (and a half) year old dog with a huge determination to live and she needs some help with her mobility sometimes and benefits greatly from adjustments.A chiropractic adjustment for your animals is money well-spent and these guys get a big thumbs-up from me.
