Chiropractic care is a health discipline focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of musculoskeletal disorders, with a primary emphasis on the spine and nervous system. The core principle is that proper alignment of the spine is crucial for optimal nerve function, which in turn influences the body's overall health and ability to heal itself. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1If any of you deal with any type of issues mentioned below, I HIGHLY…and I mean HIGHLY, recommend this man. He’s taken my daughter from crying to laughing within five minutes (no exaggeration) with her migraines and neck pain. She doesn’t like touch and Dr. MacIver works within her comfort zone, explains every step, and doesn’t do any maneuver she isn’t comfortable with.I’ve seen my back doctor for years along with a pain management doctor that keeps just wanting to do injections. They’ve all told me a chiropractor wouldn’t help. And I believed them because I’ve seen a chiropractor before that regardless of symptoms kept doing the same things over and over again and nothing improved. This guy is not like that. He listens and explains. He reviewed my MRI’s and X-rays with me and went over them inch by inch and we created a custom plan and he explained it and made it so simple and understandable. I didn’t realize how much and how long I had dealt with my chronic pain, until I found some relief. And I literally cried because I felt joy. I hadn’t felt that in a long time.I’ve never written a doctor recommendation before. But this guy is not typical and I’ve followed him from place to place.I hope you don’t have pain, but if you do, I pray for your benefit that you track this guy down immediately for some relief.
Jul 25, 2024 · Tanya GI am a former patient--only, I must stress, because my insurance were being jerks about digital accessibility and that meant it was no longer possible for me to file out-of-network claims with them. I loved working with Dr. MacIver and cannot recommend him enough.Right away I could tell Dr. MacIver was special. He’s gentle, has a healer’s hands, and you can tell he really cares. The fact that he uses the Activator tool was what sold me on trying chiropractic after all. The Activator helps with spots that are particularly tender and helped me adjust--pun not quite intended--to manual adjustments.I’m blind and have some extensive trauma history besides. I found it so refreshing that Dr. MacIver gives care that is both disability and trauma-informed. For example, he always described to me what he was going to do before initiating contact, which should be the standard but is not generally my experience in the healthcare field.Dr. MacIver also takes an interdisciplinary approach, so I wasn’t surprised to find out he had some PT background. He taught me exercises to help maintain strength and used techniques like trigger point release and dural unwinding that helped immensely with my migraines.Dr. MacIver educates his patients, too. He explained the cause/effect relationships between how we move, how it makes us feel, and how we can move and feel better. Knowledge is power, and I always enjoyed learning from him.
Sep 21, 2024 · Mel FinefrockI have seen Dr. MacIver for many years now and the one thing that stands out for me is his ability to work well with larger people. As a bigger man, it is difficult to find a chiropractor that can effective adjust my back. He really does a good job of trying different techniques to ensure the job is done.
Aug 16, 2024 · Jordan YoungDr. MacIver is amazing. I'm 87 and he's been adjusting me for 7+ years now, since he was in chiropractic school. He's moved from manual adjusting to mostly using the activator as my health has declined, but I always feel better after his adjustments. I've had chiropractic most of my life and he's definitely the best one I've had. Highly recommend him.
Nov 14, 2023 · Toby McPheetersI haven't been to a chiropractor longer than I would like to admit, esp. since I have had a car accident in my past.Let me tell you, making an appointment with Dr. MacIver was the best decision I have made in a long time!He took the time to discuss not only my history, but what my current chiropractic needs were. He explained his process and gave me a clearer understanding of what his practice is, what options I had for treatment, and the difference between getting into the habit of listening to my body and being proactive about the healing process vs not being aware of how I'm feeling and only reacting to my symptoms.I left this visit feeling a significant amount of my long term pain alleviated and I am shocked at just how long I have allowed myself to suffer in silence with it daily.Thank you so very much Dr. MacIver!!!
