Ascent Sports Rehab and Performance Introduce
In the fast-paced, active world of the Bay Area, keeping your body in top condition is not just a luxury—it's a necessity. For many in San Francisco, whether you're a dedicated athlete, a weekend warrior, or a busy professional dealing with the aches and pains of daily life, finding a chiropractor who truly understands your needs is crucial. Ascent Sports Rehab and Performance is a local practice that has built a reputation for providing expert, one-on-one care focused on getting to the root cause of an issue and helping you not just recover, but perform better than before.
Unlike some traditional chiropractic models that may focus solely on frequent adjustments, Ascent Sports Rehab and Performance takes a comprehensive, hands-on approach. The practice, led by Dr. Krystal Drwencke, a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP), is dedicated to helping athletically-minded individuals continue their active lifestyles. The philosophy here is centered on empowering patients with the tools and knowledge to manage and avoid injuries, increase performance, and improve their overall physical sustainability. This is not a "pop in and pop out" model; it's a partnership between the doctor and the patient, built on clear communication and a shared goal of long-term wellness and performance. This commitment to patient outcomes is a recurring theme in feedback from local clients, who highlight the practice's dedication and personalized care.
The practice stands out for its integrated approach, blending chiropractic care with rehabilitation and strength training. This holistic perspective means that your treatment plan is specifically tailored to your unique needs, whether you're dealing with a chronic injury, recovering from surgery, or simply looking for a "tune-up" to counteract the effects of a sedentary job or demanding sport. From the initial detailed assessment to the creation of a personalized plan, every step is designed to identify the underlying causes of your pain or dysfunction, rather than just treating the symptoms. This thoroughness is what makes Ascent Sports Rehab and Performance a trusted resource for so many in the San Francisco community who are serious about their health and fitness.
Another key aspect of the practice is its focus on education. Dr. Drwencke and her team believe that an informed patient is an empowered one. They take the time to explain treatment plans and ensure you're comfortable with every step. This patient-first philosophy creates a supportive and collaborative environment, which is particularly important for individuals who may have had negative experiences elsewhere. For example, a patient mentioned how Dr. Drwencke gracefully accommodated a discomfort with neck adjustments, which speaks volumes about the level of personalized attention and care provided. This focus on patient comfort and trust is what builds lasting relationships and, most importantly, leads to better outcomes.
Furthermore, the practice's extensive experience with a variety of sports and athletic communities gives it a unique edge. With a background that includes working with various rugby and volleyball teams, as well as the US Open at Pebble Beach, Ascent Sports Rehab and Performance has a deep understanding of the biomechanics and specific demands of different sports. This specialized knowledge allows for more effective treatment and rehabilitation for athletes of all levels. From professional competitors to those who simply want to stay active, the practice is equipped to handle a wide range of athletic-related injuries and performance goals, making it a go-to destination for anyone in the Bay Area who wants to maintain a high-performance lifestyle.
The reviews from local users consistently praise the practice's attentiveness, thoroughness, and effectiveness. Patients frequently report significant improvements in pain and mobility after just a few sessions, and they value the fact that the care is focused on long-term results rather than short-term fixes. The practice is seen as a lifesaver for those recovering from major injuries and a trusted resource for regular maintenance and preventative care. This blend of expertise, genuine care, and a focus on sustainable health is what truly sets Ascent Sports Rehab and Performance apart in the competitive San Francisco healthcare landscape.

Ascent Sports Rehab and Performance Reviews
Krystal has been a lifesaver! She is sports focused and dedicated to making sure you’re able to continue an athletic lifestyle. She has rehabbed me thru 2 major injuries (back and dislocated shoulder). She really cares about your outcomes and overall wellbeing. I’ve seen other chiros who keep me coming back frequently but don’t actually seem invested in helping me return to normal. She definitely listens and if you’re uncomfortable with neck adjustments, she will accommodate you gracefully. While I don’t need to see Krystal often anymore, I still pop in every month or 2 for a tune-up from desk work, nursing lifestyle, biking, and all the other random flares from just being over 40.
Jan 17, 2025 · Byanqa RobinsonI’ve had a great experience with Krystal! From the first visit, she was attentive, thorough, and clearly knowledgeable. She took the time to explain the treatment plan and ensured I was comfortable every step of the way. After a few sessions, I’ve noticed significant improvements in my pain and mobility. I highly recommend Dr. Drwencke to anyone looking for a chiropractor who truly cares about their patients’ well-being!
Oct 12, 2024 · Maurice VallecilloI can’t thank Krystal enough for the incredible impact she’s had on my life. After an accidental fall down the stairs and a lack of proper follow-up care, I spent over a year living with discomfort and pain, struggling to get through daily activities. I had always been nervous about chiropractic care due to unfounded fears, but visiting Krystal has completely changed my perspective. Not only did she provide the physical adjustments my body so desperately needed, but she also equipped me with the tools and knowledge to maintain my health and continue healing at home. I feel like a new person - stronger, more mobile, and more empowered to take control of my well-being. If you’re hesitant about seeing a chiropractor, trust me when I say that Krystal is a game-changer. I’m beyond grateful for her expertise and care!
Nov 09, 2024 · Kailynn VeryserKrystal is one of the best around at what she does. She will do everything to help return you to play rather than telling you to stop your sport or rest. She address the underlying issue not just the symptoms. We have tried many different methods to see what my body responds too and have found some great results. My shoulders and back haven’t felt better!!!! My golf game has stayed consistent due to her, without her I would have to take major time off here and there just to stay pain free.
Oct 29, 2024 · Scott LawsonKrystal is the best chiropractor I've ever worked with, and I've worked with many. She is talented, intuitive, and strong, as well as kind, sweet, and snorts out a great laugh. I cannot recommend her more highly.
