Chiropractic care focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of musculoskeletal disorders, with a particular emphasis on the spine. When the spine, which houses and protects the nervous system, is misaligned, it can lead to a variety of issues, from localized pain to more systemic problems. Chiropractors use a hands-on, drug-free approach to help restore proper alignment and function, allowing your body to perform at its best.

Dr. Amy Townley DC and Dr. Matthew Coleman DC offer a range of chiropractic services designed to address various musculoskeletal conditions and promote overall health and wellness for the Ohio community. While specific details of every treatment modality are best discussed directly with the practitioners, the core of chiropractic care revolves around spinal adjustments and holistic patient support. Here are some of the general types of services you can expect from a professional chiropractic practice like theirs:
- Spinal Adjustments and Manipulations: This is the cornerstone of chiropractic care. Chiropractors use various techniques to apply controlled, sudden force to a spinal joint, aiming to improve range of motion and reduce pain. These adjustments help correct misalignments (subluxations) in the spine that can interfere with nerve function and contribute to discomfort.
- Pain Management: A primary reason many people seek chiropractic care is to alleviate pain. This includes common issues like chronic back pain, neck pain, headaches, migraines, and sciatica. Chiropractic treatment often focuses on identifying the root cause of the pain rather than just treating the symptoms.
- Corrective Exercises and Stretches: Patients are often provided with personalized exercise routines and stretches to perform at home. These are crucial for strengthening supporting muscles, improving flexibility, and helping to maintain the benefits of in-office adjustments. This empowers patients to take an active role in their recovery and long-term health.
- Posture Analysis and Correction: Poor posture is a common contributor to musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. Chiropractors can assess your posture and provide guidance and adjustments to help you improve it, thereby reducing strain on your spine and muscles.
- Lifestyle and Nutritional Counseling: Many chiropractors adopt a holistic approach to health, understanding that factors beyond the spine can impact well-being. This may include advice on diet, nutrition, stress management, and ergonomic adjustments for work or home environments to support overall health and prevent future issues.
- Wellness and Preventative Care: Beyond addressing acute pain, chiropractic care can also be utilized for preventative maintenance. Regular adjustments can help maintain spinal health, improve nervous system function, and potentially prevent issues from arising, contributing to an overall sense of wellness.
These services are tailored to each individual's specific needs and health goals, ensuring a personalized approach to care. When visiting Dr. Amy Townley DC and Dr. Matthew Coleman DC, you can expect a thorough examination to determine the most appropriate course of treatment for your unique situation.

Amy Townley DC&Matthew Coleman DC Reviews
I always liked Dr. Townley. I thought she was always upbeat and went above ang beyond. However, I do not like the front office workers. They're often making people wait so they can have conversations with each other (about non-work related matters) or someone they knew that came in. The billing is always jacked up as I had a straight copay but they insisted on over charging me or not charging at all and then billing me later. The icing on this cake is that I was just there a month ago and there was no mention that Dr. Townley would no longer accept my insurance in the new year. No call. No email. Instead, I got to sit there for 30 minutes before I was handed paperwork that stated this. When I questioned it, I was told that I could be a cash only patient. They make sure to email me for me to confirm my appointments, but couldn't give me a heads up about this? Not acceptable and unprofessional.
